I honestly had zero use for a XBox 360 Controller on my Mac, since I’m a keyboard/mouse gamer but I was toying with another article (Kodi on Amazon Fire TV) and was looking for a Game Controller for the Amazon Fire TV.Looking around I noticed that the Microsoft XBox 360 wireless controller for Windows should work with the Amazon Fire TV and with MacOS X. Does A Wireless Adapter Work For Xbox 360 Slim? Recently my xbox connection has been really bad and most of the time i cant connect to xbox live, and when i do get connected i lag a lot. Iphone emulator mac os cd. I Have an Xbox 360 Slim and i've been thinking of getting a wireless adapter from Game or Grainger Games.

Or does that mean that Microsoft deliberately crippled the hardware?

I mean, won't the adapter be supported in a future patch? It sounds like MS have done exactly that. It's a REAL♥♥♥♥♥♥move. We can still hope someone makes a work around.

A 'gray area' for GPL drivers? Does Microsoft have a right of veto over Linux? I don't think so. As far as I know, most Linux drivers are tipically reverse-engineered and integrated into the kernel. Linux drivers for Xbox 360/Xbox One/Dual Shock 4 controller were not developed neither by Microsoft nor by Sony but by kernel developers and individuals.

I think even Valve contributed themselves with some patch to get the (wired) Xbox One controller working in Linux. If the Xbox One Controller Wireless adapter is not crippled at the hardware level -which I don't even think it's possible, given that USB is a standard protocol which they have to adhere to, in order for it to work in any computer (and Windows 10 can be installed in any x86 or x86_64 computer)-, then it's just a matter of time untill someone writes a Linux driver for this device. And given that this wireless dongle will surely be very popular amongst PC gaming enthusiasts, I don't think we will have to wait long.
