I purchased Quicken 2018, and I am glad a own Parallels, as Quicken 2018 for mac does not come close to the windows versions I have used for years. I am looking at alternatives, as Quicken for PC is my only use for VM’s.

Easy install. Cloud storage.I'd rather have it in my HD like previous versions. Had to buy it because Quicken Deluxe 2015 no longer works. Install was easy (MBP mid 2015) and got it running in no time. Not much change from the 2015 so its easy for me to use.

The only drawback is having to log on to Quicken every time I use it. I can leave it open by not signing out of Quicken website since my financial file is also password protected but I have my doubts about its security.

Too many websites getting hacked. Quicken says its safe and no financial info is stored there (yeah.sure). Better be safe than sorry. UPDATES FOR THE WORST!! Quicken Deluxe 2015 was much superior to the new version of Quicken Deluxe 2018, and if I had known that this is what Quicken 2018 entailed I would NOT have purchased it! In reality, very little was changed from the previous version, and the format is basically the same.

One of the most idiotic changes however is that the new Calendar View shows only the monthly INCOME, and no monthly EXPENSES, whereas under the previous version BOTH were covered under the same view. Quicken has now decided to add an extra step to view the monthly expenses under a separate Calendar view, requiring an addition step for entrees.a STUPID move! But have spent hours with Quicken tech support trying to get my credit card download on One Step Download. It will respond to my vault password, even after resetting it. The only way I was able to download statement was to deactivate the card account and reenter it in setup. But then it downloads all transactions for the past 4 months.
