Oct 7, 2018 - I think that you may not be properly updated to the updated and latest version of Office 2016 for mac, I am able to see Ribbon and Toolbar option in preferences. Jun 24, 2012 - The Endnote Cite While Your Write (CWYW) Toolbar does seem to cause trouble every once in a while. Doesn't appear in the list of Apps – only the individual Word, excel etc. I moved on to Office 2016 and Endnote 7.5.
Hey, I think that you may not be properly updated to the updated and latest version of Office 2016 for mac, I am able to see Ribbon and Toolbar option in preferences on my mac. I would suggest you to try updating your Office 2016 for mac - from any program Help -> Check for Updates, and if this is not going to be of any help to you then I suggest you rather try doing a repair of disk permissions - if you are on Yosemite - and if you are not on Yosemite and are on El Capitan or some other OSX then I would rather suggest you to remove and re-add Office 2016 for mac - remove Office 2016 for mac as given in here. Fixy is correct that you have not updated Office to current updates. Fixing permissions is nice, but has nothing at all to do with you not having installed updates. Mac file reader for windows.
If you have an Office 365 subscription, after updating you will be able to customize both the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and the Ribbon. If you have a stand-alone version you will have the ability to customize only the QAT. The first thing to do is install the recent updates.
Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection, then: Update Mac OS X. Open the App store and click on the Updates button.
Install the updates. After, in any Office application go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates to launch the AutoUpdate app.
Let AutoUpdate install updates and then restart your Mac.
